you need: |
||
The correct link |
You will have been provided with a link, just click on it and you should be taken to the correct survey.
Computer w/ good internet |
Most of the problems people experience have less to do with the survey site and more with the internet. If your connection breaks or is disrupted - you may be dropped from the test. Please be sure to use a computer and server which is reliable. If you do not have access -- feel free to use one of the computers in the library or computer labs.
Time to complete the survey |
These usually are not 2-3 minute surveys. You should plan for a minimum of 30-45 minutes. If you do not have the time to complete - don't start.

How
to proceed: |
|
| "I went to the link and it took me to the generic "Survey Monkey" page and not the test page. | Chances are - you have the wrong link. If the link is in an email or on a webage - just click on it and it should take you where you need to go. If you attempted to type it in by hand - there was a typo somewhere: the confusing address (letters/numbers/underlines) are all there so people don't randomly access the files. Click on the link that was provided and you'll get where you need to be. | |
| "I was (part/half)way through the test and got kicked out. What happened?" | This isn't a Monkey problem - it's an internet problem. Your connection/server blinked out or stalled. You will need to relink to the test. Everything that you had entered has been saved (each time you advance the page everything gets saved). Log back on (this is why we ask for your name each time) and feel free to skip the questions you already did and start from the page you were on when the connection broke. | |
| "I got a message that said ....Whoops! and I got a message with the survey monkey logo on it." | This IS a Monkey problem (and is relatively rare). The server at the test site is currently overloaded and it shut out users (or there is an administrator on site working on the software). Follow the same advice as the question above (it is better to give it a short rest and let some users off before getting back on site). | |
| "Is my test saved?" | Each time you go forward a page - your file is updated. No need to worry - we haven't lost a test yet. We'll let you know if we don't have a test for you. | |
